Test Engineer

Position Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Review and evaluate new product designs or changes in existing designs; determine functional and/or environmental test requirements and need for test equipment and facilities.

b. Specify and/or design factory test equipment; prepare documentation to enable fabrication of test equipment.

c. Provide technical assistance and conduct training in the operation and test of new products to test personnel.

d. Prepare calibration and test procedures and related documentation.

e. Develop software for system testing of appropriate testing units.

f. Monitor progress of tests for validity of test conditions, means of measurement and performance of component or unit in relation to specifications.

g. Direct or review test results; take corrective action as necessary.

h. Direct or perform analysis of component failures; recommend and/or implement approved alternate components or design changes.

i. Partly work as a Component Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS:

Job Duties:
1) Make sound credit decision on on-us card referrals, which includes:
· Approving transactions that are within his/her lending authority and referring those transactions to superior if they are beyond his/her approval limit.
· Judging / recommending / approving the pre-arranged authorization referrals via Customer Service Section.
2) Handle voice/ telex/ fax authorization requests from merchants relating to HSBC
