牛鱼嘴山清远 - pictures of the flowers

We went to Qing Yuan last weekend for the Qing Ming Festival, and climbed the mountain to look at the beautiful flowers (禾雀花)

Here are a few of the photos we took, hope somebody will like them!

These flowers were beautiful, I had never seen them before. There is nothing quite like them in England..

Catter tells me these flowers are named after some kind of bird.. anyone know the English name of it?

The higher up the mountain we went, the fresher the flowers were (and the less people too, haha, so many lazy people!)

Unfortunately the weather wasn't very good, it was raining and the light was pretty poor.

Our fault really, we didn't go until after lunch and so it was quite late in the afternoon by the time we got there...

For anyone who is interested, I ended up having to put the ISO all the way up to 1600, and still felt it wasn't enough..

These flowers were very well protected. the area was all roped off and there were many security staff there. They were very friendly though, and told us the best places to go to see the flowers.

If anyone was caught picking or damaging any of the flowers, it was an instant 1000 RMB fine!!

Well these are all the pictures that I thought were good that I wanted to share. This is the first time I have put my pictures on here, so please don't laugh at me too much!!
(I'm not Chinese so I don't mind losing a bit of face though!! [M04])

You should share more pictures to us, I heard from Catter, you took plenty of pictures, and most of them are pretty good [M25]
